How can I upgrade the kernel while running Alpinelinux from tmpfs?

How can I solve this problem or how do I upgrade the kernel in the properly?

The USB device should be updated within the release steps. http://wiki.alpinelinux.org/wiki/Upgrading_Alpine#Upgrade_Operating_System
