Guys, I love the energy and the ethos of this community and the project, it's great --- but there are a few things that I think really need working on and that I need to point out. Let me explain using the story of how I got here:
I am trying to install Alpine on my VPS. My OpenVZ installs Alpine successfully, but I cannot get a console connection: all I get is a promiscuous error message. I come to Alpine's pages to find more, about both Alpine and the error, having previously visited the pages to learn about its minimaiist and security-oriented nature, both of which I enjoy.
After learning that the wiki holds no answers, I go to the forum to discover that there is no search! The lack of this function, and my inability (and also unwillingness :P ) to implement it myself with ease, stop me dead in my tracks.
How can we foster an open, collaborative environment in the community, one we may describe as the ideal wiki state?
I thought we had a search option in top menu?

Looks like that's only available to logged in users on the site. When I wasn't logged in, I couldn't access the link above, but once I was, I could access it.
