I've been looking around and I can't find any external repos, do any exist? I'm trying to find nsq, pgpool2, py3-simplejson and other related stuff but not having any luck.
I'm not sure what you mean by "external repo's"; however if you are looking to have, for example, nsq added as a package please add a feature request for the package on http://bugs.alpinelinux.org/projects/alpine/issues/new (you'll need to be logged in to do so).
If you are able to, please feel free to package yourself, all assistance is very much appreciated!
Like this gpo.zugaina.org/Newest/~amd64 , how gentoo does it. afaict all Apline's repos are official (like testing/community/etc). And asking and waiting doesn't fit into my allotted timeline unfortunately, I'll probably have to roll my own.
You can add http://repo.rymsho.ru/alpine to the list ))
I hope it will work during long time. The only problem is I don't have a possibility to keep previous stable versions. Only latest-stable, edge and testing.

shoe,
all alpine repos are official but few of them are also a little dead.
Just look at
http://repos.lax-noc.com/alpine/
http://repos.dfw.lax-noc.com/alpine/
http://repos.mia.lax-noc.com/alpine/
http://liskamm.alpinelinux.uk/
for example )))
http://liskamm.alpinelinux.uk/ works fine. It just doesn't support directory listing.
I'll update it so that it does
