Where does the name Alpine Linux come from?
Apologies if this has been answered before, I didn't see an easy way to search the forum and, Googling didn't seem to help.
Same here. I guess the founder just feel like climbing?
The name Alpine stands for A Linux Powered Integrated Network Engine, but I think the Alpine chain mostly conveys the idea of a ROCK SOLID operating system, by the way GRSecurity use the same image on its website.
