git send-email fails

When I try to run git send-email HEAD^, there is a prompt asking me for confirmation:

Send this email? ([y]es|[n]o|[q]uit|[a]ll):

When I hit y, nothing happens. Then, when I kill git send-email, it exits and prints and error message:
stty: standard input: Not a tty

Googling didn't help. E-mail settings are configured, and It worked before for me.
Has anyone had similar issue?
