How often does the package index get updated?

There's an update for the "go" package for instance: https://pkgs.alpinelinux.org/package/main/x86_64/go , but if I do an apk update, it's still pulling the old 1.4.2 version.
The package browser uses edge repository, while you are most probably using the stable repo.
