When installing or updating the kernel, mkinitifs fails to create a symlink:

(1/1) Installing linux-grsec (4.9.13-r0)
Executing busybox-1.26.2-r0.trigger
Executing kmod-23-r1.trigger
Executing mkinitfs-3.0.9-r1.trigger
==> initramfs: creating /boot/initramfs-grsec
ln: failed to create symbolic link '/boot/boot': Operation not permitted
1 errors; 2263 MiB in 668 packages

/boot filesystem seems to be mounted, and in read-write mode.
I feel like this is important, because late I've been having problems that seem to be related to kernel. Or not, but still this doesn't seem normal.

Maybe that has something to do with /boot being a vfat partition that doesn't support symlinks. But that's a pretty common case.
