Is there a lockup in the Alpine user's mailing list and the developers list? I tried subscribing to both on 20th September and got emailed requests to confirm the subscriptions, but both of my responses were rejected:

The message from myemailaddress@myemailserver with subject "Subscribe" was unable
to be delivered to the list

(The denied message is below.)

There has been a posting since then on the developers' list according to the archives so, if the confirmation had worked despite the rejected responses, I should have received that latest post.

Update: I noticed that when I retried to subscribe again today, the confirmation request did not reproduce the underscore (_) nor the dot (.) characters in my email address, which is partly quoted in the subscription link. My email address is correctly quoted within the brackets however. I replied to the confirmation email having amended that email address, but I still get the reply:

"The message from with subject "Re: Confirm
subscription to " was unable to be
delivered to the list"

Update: Today I was able to subscribe to the alpine user's maling list for the first time, using the same email address that I used above (which has an underscore symbol). I thought I would try again as I noticed that there was activity in that mailing list today, as shown in its archive.

In case it is relevant and could help anyone, the email request was sent without a subject title and without any body text.

There seems to be a very good response to queries in the Alpine IRC channel and mailing lists, and it's good getting responses in this forum also, thank you. Thank you, developers, contributors and users, for an excellent operating system!
