I installed IPFW and IPFW-grsec, also linux-grsec-dev, I guess it installed the headers.

IPFW list does

ipfw: getsockopt(IP_FW_GET): Protocol not available

snort --daq ipfw etc

does daq_ipfw_socket not pewrmitted.

I find IPFW not in the kernel source, How do I get IPFW working on Alpine.

I have no experience with ipfw, but looking at the package contents...have you modprobe'd ipfw_mod ?
