Setup options changed in 3.2?

I'm installing Alpine on a raspberry pi using setup-alpine. The script is jumping past "Which disk(s) would you like to use?" and only asking me where to store configs (followed by the apt cache directory question). Is this specific to the RPi alpine linux? What does "Where to store configs" really mean? I understand the apk cache directory, or at least I think I do. Apk cache directory is where Alpine stores apks so that if you install new apks when you reboot they will still be present. What I would like to avoid is this mentioned about mapping var to my SDHC. I don't want to burn up my SDHC with writes.

How can I verify Alpine is in diskless mode as mentioned here?
