Trouble booting LiveCD

I am attempting to boot the alpine-xen-3.3.1-x86_64.iso LiveCD on a mid-2010 MacBook Pro. The LiveCD starts loading, but after only a couple seconds, I get four messages like the following, and then the boot process never continues:
pci 0000:00:04.0: System wakeup disabled by ACPI

Any clues as to what might be going on? Thank you!
