Hi

Does the default grsec kernel support EFI stubs? I have installed Alpine to a primary GPT partition in order to gradually switch my Arch system over to Alpine. Right now all installs, upgrades and configurations have had to be done via chroot since I can not boot the Alpine system. I have tried booting Alpine from EFI with both gummiboot/systemd-boot (Arch) and Syslinux without success. Personally I like multi-booting in EFI, which is much smoother than chainloading using traditional BIOS boot. The kernel and initrd "load" (=syslinux reports "OK") but no init or startup at all happens.

Alternatively, if the EFIstubs in the kernel is not the issue - what could be the issue? Do I need to explicitly add init="something" as a kernel argument?

I am in the same situation and stumbled upon a bug report with a recent comment that 'it should be possible to get UEFI working', but no further explanation. Any info on what is currently a problem would be very much appreciated.
