I just attempted to install alpine on an old laptop.

Problem 1: it gave me a choice of network interface. I chose the wireless. it gave me the opportunity to set the ip address, router and dns servers. it did not give me the opportunity to provide a WPA key.

Problem 2: when I reached the partitioning step, I chose 'Sys' (is there no 'manual' option? Perhaps to accomplish that, partitioning should be done prior to running the installer?). It noticed that there were NTFS partitions, which I'd forgotten about on this machine and asked me whether to proceed (y,n). I chose 'n'. And it proceeded anyway!! And blew away the Windows partitions that I wanted to preserve.
