vmware guest shutdown not working

Hey,

although the acpi demon is running and the open-vm-tools package is installed, shutdowns via acpi are not possible. No log entries in /var/log/acpid.log and dmesg is quiet, too.

Any suggestions how to fix that?

mkdir /etc/vmware-tools/scripts/poweroff-vm-default.d
cat <<-EOF>/etc/vmware-tools/scripts/poweroff-vm-default.d/poweroff.sh

poweroff
EOF
chmod u+x /etc/vmware-tools/scripts/poweroff-vm-default.d/poweroff.sh

ACPI shutdown should work now. But this should be standard after installing open-vm-tools via apk or not?
