gnome-base

It seems gnome-base/metacity and likely other packages are missing (even though the wiki still has a gnome install section ;)

I would really like to use gnome3 with Alpine but it looks like it is no longer supported.
Anyone tell me if there are enough of the packages available to install it anyway (I realise gnome-base is a meta package)

Maybe there should be some sort of vote, as I know a number of people have requested gnome3 ... can some priority be placed on getting it done ..
What are the issues?
